About MFT
Accountants who build systems. Technologists who read ledgers.
Modern Financial Technology grew out of a deep professional background in accounting, audit and internal control, and one observation from the field: audit findings kept describing errors that the systems should have prevented.
The story
MFT began as a financial audit and review practice, focused on analysing financial data, evaluating internal control systems and identifying operational and compliance risk for companies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Working inside those companies exposed a clear gap between what the audit found and what traditional systems could prevent. Out of that gap came smart audit: moving from reviewing what already happened to building a system that prevents errors and detects them in real time, through strong documentation cycles, defined permissions and segregation of duties, and audit requirements translated into operating rules inside the system.
That approach led MFT into ERP implementation, above all Odoo, as the platform that turns audit and control concepts into daily practice. Today the firm is led by its CEO and combines licensed accountants and auditors with certified Odoo implementers, serving Egypt and Saudi Arabia and expanding to the United States. We do not separate audit, system and decision. We treat them as one ecosystem.
How we work
- Numbers first
- Every recommendation traces back to a reconciled ledger entry. If it cannot be audited, it is not in the report.
- Plain language
- Reports are written to be read by owners and boards, in Arabic or English, without a glossary.
- Named accountability
- A single lead on our side owns the engagement from discovery to closure.
- Nothing invented
- No fabricated benchmarks, no illustrative results presented as real. We publish figures we can stand behind.
